I think that students should play games at school because a lot of the educational games now go right along with instruction and common core. I used games in centers for reinforcement after teaching a new skill. My students don't realize they are learning because they are having so much fun. I have a game that is interactive saved on the computer for each lesson that is taught. It also let's me know how well they understand the new concept that has been taught. They help connect real life to what they are doing at school. My boys love the math racecar game so much that they don't realize its helping them learn how to do addition and subtraction facts.
